NOKSH A/S’ experience of documentation, reporting, evaluation, organisational development, follow-up and audit of practice and structures is wide ranging but at the same time highly specialised. NOKSH A/S’ know-how ranges from evaluation of effect measurement on an individual level to documentation, effect measurement and development for minor and major organisation and activities.

Over the past four years, NOKSH A/S has completed practice documentation, reporting and evaluation related to sub-study 3 of the GICHD study (pdf Sub Study 3). The reporting tasks in this study were based on case studies. These documented and indicated areas for development which are currently being processed globally in connection with training methods, development of skills for dog handlers and changes to procedures related to transferral work.  The projects implemented in Mozambique and Angola have made a significant contribution to changing and developing existing practice.

At the time of writing (June 2003), NOKSH A/S is also on contract to the Swedish Rescue Services Agency (Svenska Räddningsverket) – the Swedish government’s organisation for foreign operations, fire and rescue services. The purpose of this project is to develop/compile new methods for documentation, reporting (including deviation reports) and evaluation/organisational management. The project is principally connected to the agency’s foreign operations, and for 2003 will deal with the agency’s on-going program in Angola, which will be used as a case study for the entire project.

High levels of expertise and comprehensive experience are combined with adaptation to local circumstances. A central element to the projects is respect for the daily tasks of those carrying out the work. One of NOKSH A/S’ most important targets is to ensure that the skills learned are maintained and distributed to every link of the chain.
